PIRELLI P7 Tires

Like the trouser leg, wider was all the rage in the ‘70s and Pirelli were on the case developing the P7 with it’s ultra low profiles and wide foot prints. Their work in low profile tires with the CN73, CN54, CN36 and CN12 tires came to a head in the mid ‘70s as the P7 took hold as the super high performance tire. Of course the super car manufacturers loved it and the P7 was to be original equipment on cars like the 911 Carrera Turbo and by 1978 they were fitting the widest tire fitted to a production road car with the 345/35R15 P7 on the back of a Lamborghini Countach LP400S.

Today the Pirelli Cinturato P7 range has a small range of 15” & 16” tires.
